Brian Ewing
Web Development, Design and Content Specialist

 
Brian Ewing is the founder and president of Bold Statement Web Design, a full-service website and design provider. He works with small businesses and nonprofit groups to develop clean, easy-to-navigate websites. Brian builds projects based on the clients’ brand design needs and offers a spectrum of options, including unique design, online merchandising, search engine optimization, and end-user testing. Bold Statement has focused on bring the full power of the web to extremely small businesses helping them incorporate Social Networking, E-mail Marketing, Web Content, Keyword Advertising and much more into a full scale marketing campaign. 
 
Brian spent five years as the Intranet Content Specialist and three years as the Intranet Content Manager for Fifth Third Bank, where he acted not only as the standard bearer for intranet content and design, but also as the Project Manager for all intranet projects. In this capacity he supervised local and offshore contractors, as well as directed requirements, development, and execution of HTML and ASP sites. Brian helped developed the bank's migration strategy for its move to IBM Websphere Portal 5.1 and 6.0 and the training classes and materials used in the execution of this project. 
 
Prior to his work leading Fifth Third’s corporate intranet, Brian spent ten years as Production Director and On-air Talent for several Cincinnati area radio stations including WMOJ, WVAE, WOFX and WOXY. He conducted Morning and Afternoon Drive air shifts, the highest listener audience times. He worked with clients and sales staff to create on-air marketing campaigns, and wrote and recorded commercials, promotional and station branding elements. He also developed the stations' first web presence.
 
Brian is a talented singer-songwriter, who can play nearly any instrument placed in his hands. As a member of the local band Messerly and Ewing and has toured the United States, performed on 5 recordings, and has won numerous awards.
 

Shawn Mummert
Web Architect and Technical Lead

 
Over his twelve years of consulting experience, Shawn Mummert has developed a wealth of project management and system construction knowledge. With a career that has taken him from the plains of Nebraska to Toronto and finally to Cincinnati, Shawn has developed a broad wealth of consulting experience leading from business process consulting to web marketing and content management.
Shawn started his consulting career at MigraLynx Technologoies where he implemented networks and designed paperless office systems for real estate closing companies. From there, Shawn moved to Bluespring Software where he implemented business process and order entry systems. Bluespring’s solution was tailored to automate business processes, not only to automatically determine profitability of opportunities, but also to manage the approval and activation process. Shawn’s clients for Bluespring included AT&T Canada, Securicor Canada, The Network Management Group, and Cincinnati Bell.
 
While still at Bluespring, Shawn was engaged by Enjoy the Arts, a Cincinnati arts marketing organization, to help maintain ETA’s online marketing systems. After several months, Shawn made the full-time leap to the arts world and stayed with ETA for three years. The experience at ETA was a tremendous opportunity to participate in all phases of electronic marketing from content management systems and email marketing campaigns to the creation of a social media campaign that became the model for local arts organizations. Shawn also created and managed an online ticketing system for non-profit arts and music groups.
 
In 2008, Shawn moved to Wayfinder Management where he implemented content management systems and managed all aspects of online marketing for those sites, including online advertising (Pay Per Click) campaigns, social marketing, search engine optimization, and content linking strategies. Sites included BicycleCity.com, theCircle.org, SpanishAcademies.com, tests.com, CincinnatiSpanishAcademy.com, and CincinnatiSpanishSchool.com. Now working with Bold Statement, Shawn is excited to bring his wealth of technology experience and project management focus to assist new clients.
 
Shawn has a B.A. in English Literature from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an M.A. in English Literature from Miami University. Shawn’s M.A. thesis covered the interactions between new media entertainment forms and the formation of community. Shawn’s interests include theatre, the visual arts, and gardening.
 

Margaret Weiner
Graphic Designer

 
Margaret Weiner specializes in print and concept development with a passion for illustration and identity and branding solutions, with dedication to detail and quality work an. A native of Virginia, Margaret studied graphic design at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia before relocating to Cincinnati to open her own graphic design firm in 2005. After two years she closed her business to teach advanced classes in graphic design and multimedia design at the Art Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati. Margaret has also worked as Cincinnati Ballet’s graphic designer and as a contractual consultant/designer to Procter & Gamble, the Cincinnati Observatory, GRN of Cleveland and ICB Audio and Video, to name a few.
 

Bethany Anderson
Graphic Designer

 
Bethany Anderson is a freelance graphic designer and a Cincinnati native. After earning Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design, she returned to Cincinnati to design packaging for Proctor & Gamble with such products as Eukanuba and Scope. She is classically trained in typography and the foundation of color which has since proven to be shown through her love of print and information design. She is obsessed with letter forms and everything used to create communication through typography. Bethany also enjoys a good cup of coffee and listening to music.
